Film Synopsis
The Terror of the Tongs (1961) centers on a British sea captain who vows revenge against the Red Dragon Tong after the criminal organization murders his daughter to protect its secrets. Defying warnings to abandon his pursuit, he ventures into Hong Kong’s underworld in an attempt to expose the organization and break its grip on the city. This British adventure thriller combines revenge, secret-society intrigue, and period atmosphere with the colorful style and heightened violence of Hammer filmmaking.
