Film Synopsis
Yesterday’s Enemy (1959) portrays a British Army captain and his exhausted troops retreating through Burma as Japanese forces advance around them. After occupying a remote village, the discovery of valuable enemy intelligence leads the captain to take severe measures that bring him into conflict with those who question his methods. This British war drama presents survival and duty without easy moral certainty, examining the human cost of decisions justified by military necessity.
