Film Synopsis
The Snorkel (1958) centers on a calculating man who devises an ingenious murder scheme using a breathing apparatus to make his wife's death appear to be a suicide. As the authorities dismiss suspicions and refuse to believe his teenage stepdaughter's accusations while she gathers evidence linking him to both her mother's death and an earlier family tragedy, the conflict becomes a dangerous contest of wits. This British suspense thriller examines deception and manipulation within an atmosphere of mounting tension, as suspicion spreads, with perfect-crime ingenuity, hidden motives, and psychological intimidation.
