Film Synopsis
Shadow of a Doubt (1943) centers on a young woman whose ordinary life in the small town of Santa Rosa is transformed by the arrival of her beloved uncle. As his increasingly suspicious behavior coincides with the search for a notorious murderer while unsettling discoveries challenge her trust in the man she has long admired, she becomes determined to uncover the truth. This psychological thriller examines innocence and corruption within the seemingly idyllic setting of small-town America, as familial affection gives way to fear, with murder, suspicion, and escalating psychological tension.
