Film Synopsis
Taste of Fear (1961) centers on a wheelchair-bound young woman who returns to her estranged father’s estate on the French Riviera, only to be told that he is away. After repeatedly seeing his corpse and finding that it vanishes before anyone else can witness it, she becomes determined to uncover the truth behind his disappearance. This British mystery thriller combines mounting paranoia, intricate plotting, and brooding black-and-white photography with tightly controlled suspense and an unsettling atmosphere.
