Film Synopsis
The Haunted Palace (1963) chronicles a man who travels with his wife to a New England village after inheriting the mansion of an ancestor condemned as a warlock generations earlier. As the townspeople react to his arrival with fear and hostility, he discovers that the house and his family history hold a disturbing connection to the village’s misfortunes. This Gothic horror film brings occult ritual and Lovecraftian ideas into a story of inherited corruption, where the past exerts an increasingly powerful hold over both a family and the community surrounding it.
