Film Synopsis
The Fall of the House of Usher (1960) depicts a determined young man who arrives at the isolated Usher estate to reunite with his fiancée despite warnings that the family is cursed. As Roderick Usher’s fearful convictions, the mansion’s oppressive atmosphere, and a series of increasingly disturbing events deepen the mystery, the estate’s tragic legacy begins to close in around them. This Gothic horror film blends atmospheric suspense, psychological dread, and Gothic tragedy, exploring family decay, obsession, mortality, and the inescapable burden of the past.
