Film Synopsis
The Raven (1963) chronicles a grieving magician who discovers that a talking raven is actually a fellow sorcerer transformed by a formidable adversary. After restoring the stranger to human form, he is persuaded to journey to the rival magician’s castle, where deception and competing magical powers await. This Gothic horror comedy transforms Edgar Allan Poe’s poem into a playful contest of sorcery and deception, carried by Roger Corman’s lighthearted direction and the contrasting comic performances of Vincent Price, Peter Lorre, and Boris Karloff.

- Scream Factory’s Blu-ray is included in “The Vincent Price Collection II” box set with House on Haunted Hill (1959), Return of the Fly (1959), The Comedy of Terrors (1963), The Last Man on Earth (1964), The Tomb of Ligeia (1964) and Dr. Phibes Rises Again (1972). It contains a 32-page booklet with writing by David Del Valle. The “Vincent Price Trailer Gallery” includes trailers for: House of Wax (1953), The Fly (1958), The Tingler (1959), House of Usher (1960), Pit and the Pendulum (1961), Tales of Terror (1962), The Haunted Palace (1963), The Masque of the Red Death (1964), The Conqueror Worm (1968) and Dr. Phibes (1971).
