Film Synopsis
What a Carve Up! (1961) centers on a nervous young man who travels with a friend to an isolated Yorkshire mansion for the reading of his late uncle’s will. Trapped overnight with an eccentric collection of relatives, they become caught in a murder mystery as the assembled guests begin dying one by one. This British comedy horror film combines old-dark-house conventions, murder-mystery suspense, and broad farce with a playful approach to familiar Gothic traditions.
