Jonathan Rigby

Jonathan Rigby is an English actor and film historian who has written several books on horror cinema, including English Gothic: Classic Horror Cinema 1897-2015 (2000, 2015), American Gothic: Six Decades of Classic Horror Cinema (2007, 2017), Euro Gothic: Classics of Continental Horror Cinema (2016), and Studies in Terror: Landmarks of Horror Cinema (2011), as well as biographical studies of Christopher Lee (2001) and Roxy Music (2005). He was series consultant on the BBC documentaries A History of Horror with Mark Gatiss (2010) and its sequel Horror Europa (2012), and In Search of Dracula with Mark Gatiss (2020). In 2020 he was inducted into the Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards Hall of Fame.
