Film Synopsis
The Curse of the Werewolf (1961) follows a young man who carries a curse that causes him to transform into a werewolf under the full moon. As he grows older and attempts to build a normal life, he struggles to control violent impulses tied to his condition. This British horror film blends gothic tragedy and psychological conflict in a story of fate, repression, and the burden of inherited evil.

- Universal’s Blu-ray contains no extras. It is included in the “Hammer Horror 8-Film Collection” with The Brides of Dracula (1960), Night Creatures (1962), The Phantom of the Opera (1962), The Kiss of the Vampire (1963), Paranoiac (1963), The Evil of Frankenstein (1964) and Nightmare (1964).
- Final Cut’s Blu-ray is included in “The Hammer Collection: The Universal Years” box set with The Brides of Dracula (1960), Captain Clegg (1962) and The Kiss of the Vampire (1963). It is also available individually without the “Past Masters” documentary and poster gallery extras.
- Shock’s Blu-ray is also available in the “Hammer Horror Redux: The Blu-ray Collection” box set.
- Anolis’ Blu-ray is also available in two Mediabook editions, each containing a 36-page booklet with writing by Dr. Rolf Giesen, Uwe Sommerlad, Uwe Huber and Guiskard Oberparleiter (in German).
