Giant spider strikes! …Crawling terror 100 feet high!
Synopsis
Tarantula (1955) centers on a rural physician who investigates a colleague’s experimental growth serum after unexplained deaths and unsettling discoveries raise alarm in an isolated Arizona community. As an enormous tarantula escapes into the surrounding desert, its destructive path forces scientists and law enforcement into a desperate race to stop the creature before it reaches populated areas. This science fiction monster film combines creature horror with scientific speculation, emphasizing the dangers of unchecked experimentation, human responsibility, and survival against an overwhelming natural threat.
