Synopsis
The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957) centers on an ordinary man whose life changes dramatically after exposure to radiation and insecticide causes him to shrink smaller with each passing day. As familiar surroundings become increasingly perilous and his condition places growing strain on his family life, he must adapt to a world where survival depends upon courage and ingenuity. This science fiction film combines survival drama with existential reflection, emphasizing resilience, isolation, identity, and humanity’s place within an immense universe.
