Film Synopsis
Behemoth the Sea Monster (1959) follows an American marine biologist and a British paleontologist investigating strange deaths and radiation-poisoned sea life along the coast of Cornwall. As evidence mounts that nuclear testing has awakened a prehistoric creature from the ocean depths, the scientists race to understand the threat before it reaches populated areas. This British-American science fiction monster film blends Cold War anxiety, nuclear-age speculation, and creature-feature spectacle as a radioactive dinosaur advances toward London.
