Film Synopsis
The Monolith Monsters (1957) centers on a geologist investigating the aftermath of a meteorite impact that leaves behind strange extraterrestrial rocks with extraordinary properties. As the rapidly growing monoliths spread across the desert, turning everything they touch into lifeless stone and threatening nearby communities, he joins a desperate effort to uncover the secret behind their relentless expansion. This science fiction disaster film combines scientific investigation with escalating suspense, emphasizing ingenuity, survival, environmental catastrophe, and humanity’s struggle against an incomprehensible extraterrestrial force.

- Umbrella’s Blu-ray contains no extras. It is included in the “Universal Horror: Monsters & Curiosities” box set. It contains a 100-page booklet and ten art cards.
- Eureka’s Blu-ray is included in the “Three Monster Tales of Sci-Fi Terror” box set with Man Made Monster (1941) and Monster on the Campus (1958). It contains a 40-page booklet with writing by Craig Ian Mann (“Unknown Horrors: Revisiting Three Monster Tales from Universal”).
- Umbrella’s “Retro Sci-Fi Double Feature, Vol. 2” Blu-ray contains no extras. It also includes The Deadly Mantis (1957).
