Synopsis
The Mole People (1956) follows a team of archaeologists who uncover a vast subterranean civilization beneath a remote mountain region after an earthquake reveals a hidden passage. As they encounter a secret society built on rigid hierarchy, ancient ritual, and enslaved underground creatures, curiosity gives way to mounting danger and moral conflict. This science-fiction horror blends pulp spectacle and mythic allegory in a stark vision of lost worlds and human cruelty.
