Film Synopsis
The Giant Claw (1957) follows military authorities and scientists who confront a colossal, bird-like creature from outer space that terrorizes cities across the globe. As the monster’s attacks escalate, the team must devise a daring plan to stop it before entire populations are decimated. This sci-fi monster film blends Cold War anxieties, pulpy spectacle, and suspenseful aerial action in a thrilling tale of humanity versus an unstoppable force.

- Arrow’s Blu-ray is included in the “Cold War Creatures: Four Films from Sam Katzman” box set with Creature with the Atom Brain (1955), The Werewolf (1956) and Zombies of Mora Tau (1957); and contains a 60-page booklet with writing by Laura Drazin Boyes (“Sam Katzman: The Sultan of Schlock”), Neil Mitchell (“Only Screams Can Describe It: ‘Creature with the Atom Brain’”), Barry Forshaw (“Science Versus the Supernatural: Sam Katzman’s ‘The Werewolf’”), Jon Towlson (“A Twilight Zone Between Life and Death: ‘Zombies of Mora Tau’”) and Jackson Cooper (“Turkey in the Sky!
