Film Synopsis
Konga (1961) centers on an ambitious botanist who returns from Africa with a chimpanzee and a discovery that can accelerate the growth of plants and animals. After transforming the animal into a powerful ape, he uses it to eliminate professional rivals and others who threaten his ambitions. This British science fiction horror film combines mad-scientist themes, killer-animal thrills, and monstrous spectacle in a colorful tale of scientific obsession and unchecked ambition.
