Synopsis
Mysterious Island (1961) follows a group of Civil War prisoners who escape by balloon and crash on a remote island in the Pacific. As they struggle to survive against giant creatures and a volatile environment, they encounter signs of intervention that lead them to the hidden presence of Captain Nemo beneath the island. This science fiction adventure develops mounting pressure and growing unease, with survival, discovery, and concealed guidance shaping events.

- Indicator’s Blu-ray is included in “The Wonderful Worlds of Ray Harryhausen, Volume Two: 1961-1964” box set with Jason and the Argonauts (1963) and First Men in the Moon (1964).
