Born of horror to live in terror!
Captive Wild Woman (1943) follows a scientist obsessed with unlocking the secrets of glandular transformation who abducts a highly intelligent gorilla from a circus and, through experimental surgery and hormone infusions, turns her into a striking young woman named Paula Dupree. As Paula adjusts to her new existence and becomes part of a circus act, her emerging human desires and buried primal instincts collide with jealousy and violence, ultimately revealing the peril of tampering with nature. This horror science-fiction blend combines mad science and creature feature thrills in a classic Universal creature tale.
