Film Synopsis
Horror Island (1941) portrays a resourceful businessman who turns a pirate treasure legend into a paying expedition at a remote island fortress believed to conceal hidden riches. As an assortment of fortune seekers become trapped inside the sprawling castle, unexplained attacks, secret passages, and conflicting motives transform the adventure into a deadly contest for survival. Blending old dark house mystery, adventure, comedy, and horror, the film examines greed, deception, and the lure of hidden treasure through a fast-paced tale of suspense.

Edition and Packaging Notes
- Scream Factory’s Blu-ray is included in the “Universal Horror Collection, Volume 3” box set with Tower of London (1939), The Black Cat (1941) and Man Made Monster (1941); and contains a 12-page illustrated booklet.
- Umbrella’s Blu-ray contains no extras. It is included in the “Universal Horror: Monsters & Curiosities” box set. It contains a 100-page booklet and ten art cards.
- Eureka’s Blu-ray is included in the “Creeping Horror” box set with Murders in the Zoo (1933), Night Monster (1942) and House of Horrors (1946). It includes a booklet with writing by Craig Ian Mann and Jon Towlson.
- Universal’s “Vault Series” DVD-R contains no extras.
- Universal’s DVD is included in the “Universal Horror Classic Movie Archive” box set with The Black Cat (1941), Man Made Monster (1941), Night Monster (1942) and Captive Wild Woman (1943).
