Film Synopsis
Vicki (1953) follows the investigation into the murder of a glamorous New York model whose meteoric rise from waitress to headline sensation ends in a shocking death that entangles a publicity man in a lethal web of suspicion. As a zealous detective pursues the case with personal obsession and flashbacks unveil the victim’s ascent and relationships, the truth about ambition, jealousy, and innocence begins to surface. This film-noir crime drama blends murder mystery and psychological tension in a stark remake of the classic thriller I Wake Up Screaming (1941).
