Film Synopsis
The Maltese Falcon (1941) centers on a San Francisco private detective whose seemingly routine assignment takes a deadly turn when his partner is murdered. As a deceptive client and several ruthless figures compete for a valuable falcon statuette, he navigates conflicting stories and shifting motives while facing police suspicion over the killings. This film noir combines hard-boiled mystery, sharp dialogue, and shadowy atmosphere in a tightly constructed tale of greed, deception, and mistrust.
