Vile grave-robbers! Depraved murderers! Defilers of the dead!
Film Synopsis
The Flesh and the Fiends (1960) focuses on an Edinburgh anatomy professor who pays for cadavers needed for teaching and research. Two men exploit this demand by murdering vulnerable people and selling him their bodies while he avoids confronting how the specimens are obtained. This British historical horror examines scientific ambition and moral complicity through a grim dramatization of the Burke and Hare murders.
