The Black Sleep

Poster of The Black Sleep

A horror-horde of monster-mutants walks the earth!

The Black Sleep (1956) follows a wrongly convicted surgeon who is spared execution by a mentor’s strange potion that mimics death, only to find himself drawn into gruesome experiments at a remote abbey where brain surgery is performed on living subjects. As he assists the eccentric Cadman and uncovers the terrible costs of those experiments, including monstrous patients and hidden victims, he must confront the twisted logic of science gone too far. This gothic horror blends Victorian atmosphere with macabre surgery and vengeful living dead in a chilling story of obsession and ethical collapse.
