Synopsis
Murders in the Rue Morgue (1971) follows a Paris theatre impresario staging a Grand Guignol adaptation of a notorious tale while his wife experiences recurring nightmares tied to past violence. As members of the troupe begin turning up dead in increasingly brutal incidents, suspicion falls on a figure believed to be long dead, drawing the director into a tightening web of fear and accusation. This mystery horror film develops mounting pressure and growing unease, with performance, obsession, and blurred reality shaping events.
