Cat Girl

Synopsis

Cat Girl (1957) centers on a woman who returns to her ancestral estate and learns that she is the latest heir to an ancient family curse associated with a predatory leopard. As a series of violent deaths, her husband’s infidelity, and increasingly disturbing experiences intensify while she becomes convinced that she is responsible for the attacks, friends and medical professionals struggle to determine whether she is suffering from delusions or something far more sinister. This British horror film examines fear and psychological instability within a world where superstition and reality become increasingly difficult to separate, as jealousy and inherited trauma give way to terror, with curses, transformation, and supernatural dread.
