Fear in the Night

Poster of Fear in the Night

Synopsis

Fear in the Night (1972) follows a young woman recovering from a nervous breakdown who relocates with her husband to a secluded boys’ school in the countryside. As she experiences repeated assaults by a mysterious one-armed figure and encounters skepticism from those around her, uncertainty deepens and her sense of reality begins to fracture under mounting pressure. This British psychological horror film blends subjective tension, isolation, and understated menace in an examination of perception, vulnerability, and control.
