Film Synopsis
The Web (1947) chronicles an ambitious attorney who accepts a lucrative position as bodyguard to a wealthy businessman claiming to be threatened by a former associate. When the assignment leads to a fatal encounter, circumstances begin to suggest that events may have been deliberately arranged around him. This film noir thriller builds its intrigue through deception and calculated appearances, tightening the pressure as its protagonist tries to determine who is controlling the situation.
