The Mutations

aka The Freakmaker

Poster of The Mutations

It’s not nice to fool with Mother Nature… it can be horrifying!… even to them!

Synopsis

The Mutations (1974) follows a university professor who conducts secret genetic experiments to merge plant and human tissue, abducting young women to serve as test subjects. As his assistant supplies bodies and a carnival showman exhibits the grotesque results as sideshow attractions, suspicion grows around a series of disappearances. This British horror film blends mad scientist excess and exploitation spectacle in a lurid study of scientific obsession and deformity.
