Synopsis
Panic in Year Zero! (1962) follows a father who takes his family on a fishing trip into the mountains just before a nuclear strike devastates Los Angeles. As news of the catastrophe spreads and lawlessness overtakes the countryside, the family must gather supplies and defend themselves from violent survivors while seeking refuge. This science fiction thriller blends Cold War anxieties, survivalist drama, and stark depictions of societal collapse.
