Film Synopsis
Panic in Year Zero! (1962) centers on a family returning from a camping trip when a nuclear attack devastates Los Angeles and throws Southern California into disorder. As they struggle to protect one another while securing food, shelter, and supplies in a society where law and order have rapidly broken down, they confront increasingly difficult choices that test their values and resolve. This science fiction survival drama combines post-apocalyptic suspense with social commentary, emphasizing self-reliance, family loyalty, moral responsibility, and the human cost of nuclear catastrophe.
