Synopsis
Nightmare at 43 Hillcrest (1974) centers on an ordinary family awakened in the middle of the night when police raid their suburban home during a narcotics investigation. As corrupt officials attempt to conceal their mistake by planting heroin inside the house and manipulating evidence, the family becomes trapped within a widening legal and political scandal that threatens to destroy their reputation and future. This television crime drama examines institutional corruption and abuse of authority within suburban America, as official pressure intensifies, with police misconduct, false accusation, and personal ruin.
