Night of the Werewolf

It used to be only a myth.

Night of the Werewolf (1981) follows the cursed werewolf Waldemar Daninsky after his execution alongside the evil Countess Elizabeth Bathory in 16th century Hungary leads to him being trapped in a living death with a silver dagger in his heart. In the modern era, grave robbers remove the dagger and Daninsky returns to life, crossing paths with a trio of college women who inadvertently help resurrect Bathory, who proceeds to unleash dark magic and undead terror. As Daninsky fights both his own beastly nature and the revived vampire countess and her followers, his love for one of the women complicates his tragic fate in a classic clash of monstrous forces.
