Synopsis
Macabre (1980) follows a woman whose lover dies in a sudden accident, leaving her isolated and unable to accept his death. As she retreats into her home and maintains a hidden connection to his remains, her behavior grows increasingly erratic, drawing concern and suspicion from those around her. This Italian psychological horror film centers on obsessive grief and concealed decay, as control begins to break down, with repression, fixation, and emotional instability.
