Film Synopsis
Byleth: The Demon of Incest (1972) centers on a nobleman who arrives at his family estate with his wife following the death of his father and soon becomes immersed in the castle’s disturbing history. As mysterious deaths, forbidden desires, and increasingly sinister revelations intensify around the household while legends surrounding the demonic figure Byleth begin to resurface, the couple finds themselves drawn into a web of supernatural influence and aristocratic decadence. This Italian gothic horror film examines corruption and obsession within a decaying world of inherited privilege, as personal boundaries erode, with family secrets, supernatural temptation, and hereditary doom.
