Synopsis

The Man Who Could Cheat Death (1959) follows a Parisian surgeon and sculptor who secretly prolongs his life through a medical procedure that replaces a vital gland every ten years. As the aging doctor who performs the operation can no longer assist him, he attempts to persuade another surgeon to continue the illicit treatments while hiding the deadly source of his experiments. This British horror film blends mad-scientist obsession, Gothic melodrama, and ethical horror in a dark tale about the deadly cost of immortality.
