The Brain That Wouldn’t Die (1962) follows a surgeon who, after a horrific accident leaves his fiancée decapitated, uses experimental science to keep her head alive in his secluded lab while he seeks a new body to restore her. As his questionable methods draw him deeper into moral ambiguity and his reanimated partner’s rage grows, unforeseen violence and monstrous remnants of his past experiments surge from the shadows. This American science-fiction horror blends mad-scientist paranoia and cult-classic gore in a bizarre descent into obsession and ethics.
