Film Synopsis

Zombi 2 (1979) follows a determined woman who teams with a journalist to trace her father’s disappearance to a remote Caribbean island plagued by a mysterious affliction. As they arrive, the situation intensifies when the island’s dead begin to rise under the influence of a voodoo curse, spreading violence and panic among the remaining inhabitants. This Italian horror film blends tropical isolation, graphic spectacle, and supernatural folklore in an examination of contagion, colonial anxiety, and the collapse of order.
