City of the Living Dead (1980) begins when a priest’s suicide opens the gates of Hell, unleashing a wave of undead terror on a small New England town. A psychic and a journalist race against time to close the portal before All Saints’ Day brings about the apocalypse. This nightmarish horror blends Lovecraftian dread, gruesome imagery, and Fulci’s signature atmosphere of decay and despair.

Cauldron’s “Limited Edition” 4K Blu-ray includes a soundtrack CD.

Arrow’s 2018 “Limited Edition” Blu-ray contains a 60-page booklet with writing by Travis Crawford and Roberto Curti (“Fear Is Fulci’s Best Friend”); a double-sided fold-out poster; and six double-sided lobby card postcards. Reissued as a standard edition without booklet, poster and cards (2019/06/10).
