Film Synopsis
Wake Island (1942) follows the beleaguered U.S. Marine garrison on a tiny Pacific atoll who, under the command of a newly appointed major, must transform from complacency into fierce defenders as the Japanese launch relentless attacks in the wake of Pearl Harbor. As they endure pounding air raids, uneven odds, and dwindling resources, their resolve and unity are tested amid the brutal calculus of survival and duty. This war drama blends tense battle sequences and human resilience in a stark study of courage and sacrifice.
