They dedicated their lives – to death!
Synopsis
The Eagle and the Hawk (1933) follows a seasoned World War I flyer whose victories in the skies are shadowed by the mounting deaths of his comrades, pushing him toward a breaking point of exhaustion and grief. When he returns to duty and confronts the brutal realities of aerial warfare alongside a cynical rival, camaraderie and despair intertwine over the desolate fields of combat. This war drama blends sharp anti-war resonance and psychological strain in a somber study of courage and the costs of conflict.
