Film Synopsis
Run Silent, Run Deep (1958) follows a hard-driving U.S. submarine commander who, after his last boat was sunk by a Japanese destroyer, secures a new command with one purpose: to hunt down his foe beneath the Pacific. As tension grows between him and his executive officer and the crew struggles with relentless patrols and dangerous tactics, rivalry and duty collide in confined depths. This war drama blends claustrophobic submarine peril and obsessive resolve in a stark study of vengeance and warfare.
