Film Synopsis
Unmasked (1950) centers on a ruthless scandal-sheet publisher who exploits wealthy women for money and murders his latest benefactor when their relationship threatens his interests. After framing her estranged husband for the crime, he resorts to further deception as a police detective and the man’s daughter begin uncovering evidence that challenges his scheme. This film noir builds its compact crime story around greed, betrayal, and manipulation, using the world of tabloid journalism to connect private corruption with the exploitation of public scandal.
