Film Synopsis
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1968) centers on a London doctor conducting chemical experiments designed to separate the opposing forces within human nature. As the formula transforms him into a cruel and impulsive alter ego who begins committing violent acts across the city, his attempts to control the experiments gradually collapse under mounting psychological and physical strain. This British gothic horror film examines fractured identity and moral repression within Victorian society, as self-control deteriorates, with scientific obsession, duality, and violent compulsion.
