Synopsis
Frankenstein (1973) centers on an ambitious doctor conducting dangerous experiments designed to conquer death through artificial creation. As the creature gains awareness of its isolation and rejection while violent encounters spread across the countryside, the doctor’s attempts to control the consequences of his work collapse into guilt, fear, and pursuit. This television gothic horror adaptation examines scientific obsession and moral responsibility within a bleak Victorian world, as self-control deteriorates, with isolation, unnatural creation, and psychological torment.
