Film Synopsis
The Monster of the Opera (1964) tells of a theater troupe that takes over an abandoned opera house, hoping to revive it with a new production. Their plans are derailed when a mysterious figure emerges from the shadows, terrorizing the cast and seeking revenge tied to the building’s dark past. Mixing gothic atmosphere with lurid melodrama, the film reflects Renato Polselli’s flair for surreal and feverish horror storytelling.
