The Hell’s Gate

Synopsis

The Hell’s Gate (1989) follows a group of scientists monitoring an underground endurance experiment who lose contact with their subject shortly before his scheduled return. As a rescue team enters the cave and uncovers remnants of a medieval monastery, they encounter traps, violent deaths, and manifestations linked to buried heretical monks. This Italian supernatural horror film escalates into a confrontation with resurrected forces, as containment begins to fail, with religious curse, subterranean isolation, and supernatural retribution.
