Film Synopsis
The Dead Are Alive (1972) follows an archaeologist working on an ancient Etruscan site who becomes entangled in a series of ritualistic murders near the ruins. As he delves deeper, past and present blur, and the killings seem to echo the blood rites of the civilization he studies. This giallo-inflected horror blends archaeology and psychological suspense in a moody exploration of guilt, desire, and the persistence of ancient evil.
