Sexually rampant ghouls, depraved souls… and blood-red roses!
The Body Beneath (1970) follows an aristocratic vampire clan led by a centuries-old Reverend who have taken over a manor near Highgate Cemetery and now target unsuspecting relatives and locals to replenish their dwindling blood reserves. As their sinister plans unfold amid eccentric rituals and strange encounters, dread and grotesque discovery seep into everyday life. This horror film blends bizarre low-budget exploitation and occult menace in a cult-era vampire tale.
