Synopsis
Night Key (1937) portrays an ageing inventor determined to reclaim control of the alarm system that has enriched the businessman who cheated him out of his life’s work. As his efforts to expose the injustice attract the attention of a ruthless gang eager to exploit his invention, he is drawn into an increasingly dangerous struggle between conscience and survival. Blending crime thriller, science fiction, and melodrama, the film examines corporate exploitation, personal integrity, and the unintended consequences of technological innovation.
